The Digital Comm Link Story

Founded in 1995, Digital Comm Link, Inc.’s key focus has been providing services to the broadcast TV industry. DCL’s headquarters, situated on 6.6 acres of prime real estate in Davie, Florida, serves as the hub for the company’s activities.

A 200-foot communications tower has been erected at our Davie facility. DCL’s facility also houses our fixed satellite antennas, which form the core of our earth station, and has been granted a full arc license by the Federal Communications Commission to operate as a Teleport, which complements our HD fleet of KU and C- Band Mobile Satellite Trucks.

DIGICASTER® Broadcast Quality with Low Latency

The DIGICASTER® is an IP-based video transmission platform that provides broadcast quality video transmissions with low latency. The platform provides a fully managed, cloud-based environment for video transmission managed by DCL’s proprietary web-based scheduling system. DIGICASTER®’s scheduling system lets clients deliver video content instantaneously, either domestically or internationally, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

The DIGICASTER® platform is a cost-effective alternative to deploying expensive point-to-point fiber optic circuits. The platform was designed to be utilized over standard business-class circuits, and our robust packet recovery technology is the secret sauce that makes this all possible

In addition to the wealth of features we’ve built into the DIGICASTER®, DCL has also leveraged a number of our external network assets into the platform, giving customers virtual teleport and virtual Vyvx connectivity directly from the appliance.
